04/24/09 -- Halle (pronounced like actress Halle Berry) is a brilliantly marked Calico girl kitty who is just over a year old. She was a survivor of an apartment fire in Richmond, KY and was taken into foster care around Christmas time in 2008. Halle took a few weeks to adjust from her traumatic experience, but quickly found comfort in our laps. She just loves to sit in my lap while I'm on the computer and is the first to visit with me in the morning. She loves to talk and will tell you about the days events with little meowy chirps. When she is out of her comfort zone (vet's office, adoption center etc) she can be a bit grumpy, but we understand she is just uncertain. At home she is a wonderful and loving kitty, but it may take a few days for you to earn her trust. Once you do, it is very much worthwhile! Because she may need an adjustment phase, we would recommend a home without small children. Halle has been combo tested (negative for FIV and FELV), spayed, dewormed and up to date on all shots. She is ready to find a permanent and loyal home, one where she hopefully won't be displaced from again.
