In some countries and cultures, black cats are a symbolof good luck. Weather or not that is true, one thing is for sure - Shelby has luck on her side! Shelby was living outside with no family and no food. Thankfully, Shelby wandered into the backyard of a local humane society - here - where concerned workers quickly scooped her up and brought her in out of the cold. She was no doubt thankful for the kind hand she was shown, and lucky to have wandered to exactly the right place. Shelby is a little shy at first, but she soon warms up to new friends. She'll rub your leg to get your attention and loves to be petted. She'll gladly trade purrs for pets. She's also a pretty gal, with a white spot on her throat and pretty eyes that are two shades of green.
