UPDATED 10-26-09: Look at that sweet face! This is Cajun. Poor Cajun we rescued from a high kill shelter just before he was scheduled to be euthanized. No one wants a dog missing a foot right? We thought wrong. We definatelty wanted to give Cajun a chance. Just before Cajun was brought into the place we rescued him from, he was dumped at a gas station about 1/4 of a mile from the interstate. We have no idea what this poor dog has been through, but he is missing a foot, and has bite marks in various places throughout his body. He is not in pain in any way at this point, and we are taking him to the vet asap to have his leg evaluated to see if the rest of it needs to come off or not. Cajun is such a sweet baby! He definately has LOTS of puppy still in him! He is only about 30 lbs, and will probably be around 35 to 40 lbs full grown. We took him to the dog park today and he had this look on his face like he was so scared of potentially going back to the shelter, or worse. But when we got out of the car and went to play with the other dogs, Cajun had an absolute ball! He ran and played beautifully and had no problem getting around with his 3 1/2 legs. He definately would do well in any home. And he would do well with other dogs (despite what happened to him in the past). If you think Cajun might be the right dog for you, don't hesitate and contact us today! We are trying to help as many animals as we can so we need to find forever homes for these furbabies asap! Cajun's adoption fee is $75.00, this helps cover the cost of his neuter, microchip, tests and shots.
