UPDATE! 10/3/09 My foster mom says I am doing great! I will now sleep in a crate all by myself without barking, I have learned to sit, and I am doing pretty good on my housetraining! Jean says I am very smart! I have also found her chew bones and just love them! I can lay and chew for a long time! But I especially am starting enjoy lap time when I get to just lay in a lap and be pet. And I have also been microchipped already! Hi- I am so excited to tell you my name because I actually have one! My name is Hagrid. You don't know how sweet that sounds! You see the lady who used to have me kept me in a pen all the time and just used me for breeding. I had never been inside a house, I had never had a chance to stretch my legs....and I never had a name until I came to Camp Jean. I am still young, only about 1.5 years old and have so much to learn! I have learned that not all people are bad and love it when Jean pets me and talks to me. It took me a few days to trust her, but I really like her now! She brings me treats, scratches my ears and lets me come in the house! I like it in the house with other dogs to play with, cats to check out and a soft bed to lay on. I love toys too, although I am not quite sure what to do with them yet. Jean says I am really good considering what I have been through. I am working on my housetraining, but I really hate the crate if I am in there by myself. If I have a buddy, I am ok. I really would like a house with another dog in it. The dogs here are teaching me so much! I do need someone who will be very patient with me because I do still have a lot to learn, but Jean said I have a great personality and should be a great do in no time!
