She has been in long-term foster care since 2007. She is located in Frankfort, KY. Here is what her foster mom has to say about her:Georgia has gained approximately 20-30 pounds.  Upon arrival to my home she weighed 55 pounds.  She is approximately 80-90 pounds now and is a happy older matriarch type.  She would prefer being an only dog as younger dogs irritate her.  She is house trained and knows basic commands.  She is quiet except when she needs to go outside to do her business, or when another dog upsets or harasses her or when she  wants to be fed.  I currently have 15 dogs and the sheer number of dogs seems to stress her out.  She is extremely happy and knows that she truly lucky to be out of the shelter and eating regularly and sleeping in a warm kennel.  She loves being indoors with people or anywhere with people for that matter, and she eats up any attention.  She has an old injury to her left front ankle and the cold weather makes her limp in the winter.  At some point just prior to her coming to the shelter, she either ran into a wire or was abused as she is blind in her left eye and the puncture wound is still visible.  The eye has now clouded over and it is easily evident that she is blind in that eye.  When she first arrived at my home she had a tendency to collect all the stuffed animals in the toy box and sleep with them, but she no longer does this, but I believe that she was used as a breeder dog in her earlier years since she has that motherly nature.  She is approximately 7-8 years old.  ***Our adoption fee is $85 for both males and females. It includes the alteration as well as the vaccinations. We strive to have our animals altered before the time of adoption.***
